About Me
Hi I'm Misha! and I'm the owner, founder, and hands-on creative at Soulful Traditions. In 2017
I created my very first Nariyal for my now husband to use on our wedding day, and it was my wedding day that would be the start of my business, I just didn't know it at the time. Over the years I got asked to make bespoke Nariyals for weddings of the closest of family and friends, it was then that I made Soulful Traditions official.
The name resonated with me because it incorporated the two things that I am most passionate about, music and tradition. The Hindu culture is filled with so many beautiful ceremonies and over the years I've really grown fond of the meaning that lies behind them.
I never had the inclination to start my own business at any point in my life,
it just happened! and the love and support that I have been shown by clients has been incomprehensible. If I can do it, anyone can! My only intention is to design and create beautiful products that bring joy and happiness to my clients on their special day!

I have a great eye for colour and design, here is my super organised work space. A clean, organised and calm environment is a place where you will always be at your best!

Surrounded by positivity
I don't know why, but having Lord Ganesh watching over me whilst I create, allows me to never drop my guard and to always ensure I am working with a happy mindset to make these Nariyals extra special, and to perhaps pass on the blessings of Lord Ganesh to the happy couple.

You'll see the difference in the quality of finish when an item is handmade. The majority of products found in shops are imported from India, mass produced and you can really see this when you look at the quality. Wedding outfits for the groom are generally over £500, so why let yourself down on the finer details, when your outfit, shoes and saffa could all be co-ordinated?
I take a great deal of pride in the quality and finishing of my work and spend the course of a weekend taking time to perfect one order and ensuring nothing is rushed.
It has to go with out saying that I hate the use of glue! Where I can, every element has to be hand stitched.
